Mustapha Bakkoury is a graduate of the Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris and has a master’s degree in banking and finance. He has served as SONADAC’s director of activity development and financing for three years. In 1998, he joined BMCI Bank Group where he held several management positions until 2001. He was appointed that same year as a head of one of Morocco’s key financial institutions, the Caisse de Dépot et de Gestion (CDG).
In 2009, he lead the launch of Morocco’s Solar Plan, through the establishment of Masen, where he still serves as Chairman of the Management Board.
Mustapha Bakkoury is also the President of the Casablanca-Settat Region. He is married and a father of three.
